Richard W. Chen, M.D.
Dr. Chen was born in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up between Kentucky, Rhode Island, and Staten Island, NY. He attended the accelerated B.S.–M.D. program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, completing both degrees in 6 years. He underwent Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore, MD. Subsequently he traveled the Northeast with a locum tenems agency for 2 years, followed by 13 years’ practice in Merrifield, VA.

Dr. Young was born in Melbourne, Australia, and lived in California and Pennsylvania before settling in Connecticut. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital-Washington University in St. Louis. Her work experience includes 2 years of academic practice at University of Maryland Medical Systems, 3 years practice in Howard County, Maryland, and 11 years’ practice in Merrifield, VA.

Drs. Chen and Young reside in Vienna with their three school age sons.
